Description of Condensate Tanks

Condensate tanks collect the condensate that forms when steam gives off its heat in heat exchangers and process equipment. Recovering and storing this hot condensate saves energy and water treatment chemicals, making the condensate tank a key element of an efficient steam system.

Thanks to modern welding techniques (submerged arc system with camera technology), we manufacture condensate tanks up to a diameter of 3300 mm. Each tank is calculated and manufactured according to your specifications, return flow rates, and available space.

Typical applications include:

• Steam condensate collection in industrial plants

• Condensate return systems for boiler feedwater

• Hot water collection in heating networks

Corrosion Protection and Design

Condensate can be corrosive, particularly when carbon dioxide or oxygen are dissolved in the returning water. Our condensate tanks are therefore designed with robust internal corrosion protection and can be supplied in carbon steel or stainless steel to match your water chemistry.

For internal corrosion protection we offer, for example:

• Hard rubber lining for aggressive condensate

• Epoxy resin coating such as Sika Permacor 136TW (drinking water approval)

• Hot painting such as Sika HS or Epimid

• External coatings as primer or with topcoat in RAL color

Quality and Warranty

All internal coating systems are carried out by reliable specialized companies. References include TipTop Oberflächenschutz Elbe GmbH or InProCoat Südwestfalen GmbH. After submitting a water analysis, we provide you with a 5-year warranty on corrosion protection.

Our condensate tanks are calculated and manufactured according to your specifications and requirements. Optionally, we also offer you access ladders, railings, or connecting bridges.

Acceptance of our condensate tanks according to DGRL with Module G and CE marking is easily possible.
